A travers cette exposition, Sans anesthésie, nous souhaitons mettre en lumière des artistes qui s’affranchissent des tendances contemporaines établies. Leurs œuvres, nourries d’un imaginaire dense et personnel, ouvrent des voies sensibles, inattendues et poétiques, résolument loin des parcours balisés.

Cette exposition se déploie dans une exploration des seuils : ceux du sensible, du pensable, du représentable. L’exposition explore les lignes de tensions, les zones d’incertitudes et les ouvertures qui façonnent l’expérience humaine. Elle rassemble des artistes belges, hollandais, français et une artiste Basque-Cherokee dans un parcours traversé par une grande diversité de langages plastiques où l'intime dialogue avec le monde. Réunissant des artistes belges historiques tels que Marcel Mariën, figure singulière du surréalisme, et Paul van Hoeydonck (1925-2025), qui a traversé le XXe siècle, dont l'œuvre Fallen Astronaut, déposée sur la Lune par la mission Apollo 15, fait de lui le seul artiste au monde dont une sculpture repose sur un autre astre.  

Sans anesthésie #2 met en lumière des artistes qui s'affranchissent des tendances établies. Nourries d'un imaginaire dense et personnel, leurs œuvres ouvrent des voies inattendues, résolument éloignées des parcours balisés. Un panorama visuel qui interroge notre héritage moderne, ses acquis, ses fractures, et la manière dont nous composons, au quotidien, avec les nouvelles économies de l'image.

European and International Artists

Featuring, in particular, the historic Belgian artists Marcel Mariën and Paul van Hoeydonck, alongside contemporary artists Nina Anduiza, Kat Bové, Daphne van de Velde, Cat Soubbotnik, and Alexi Williams Wynn.

Through this exhibition, Without Anesthesia, we seek to highlight artists who free themselves from established contemporary trends. Their works, nourished by a rich and deeply personal imagination, open up sensitive, unexpected, and poetic pathways, resolutely distant from conventional trajectories.

The exhibition unfolds as an exploration of thresholds: those of perception, thought, and representation. It investigates lines of tension, zones of uncertainty, and openings that shape the human experience. Bringing together Belgian, Dutch, French, and a Basque-Cherokee artist, the exhibition presents a journey marked by a remarkable diversity of visual languages, where the intimate engages in dialogue with the world.

The exhibition includes historic Belgian artists such as Marcel Mariën, a singular figure of Surrealism, and Paul van Hoeydonck, whose career spanned the twentieth century. His work, Fallen Astronaut, was placed on the Moon during the Apollo 15 mission, making him the only artist in the world whose sculpture rests on another celestial body.

Without Anesthesia #2 shines a light on artists who break away from established trends. Sustained by a dense and personal imaginative world, their works open unexpected paths, firmly removed from predetermined routes. The exhibition offers a visual panorama that questions our modern heritage—its achievements, its fractures, and the ways in which we engage daily with the new economies of the image.
